‘The Carnegie Theatre & Arts Centre has been delighted to receive a small donation from The Good Life Lake District Cottages and also received additional benefits for its Friends scheme and for staff and volunteers.
Will Affleck from the Cumbria holiday cottages firm said,
“At Good Life Lake District Cottages, we are immensely proud of our roots here in the beautiful Lake District. We feel very lucky to be able to call the Lake District home and we take great pride in associating with other, great Cumbrian businesses.
We enjoy nothing more than sharing our beautiful county with visitors throughout the year, as well as adding to local life in any way we can. It is an accumulation of these reasons that we reached out to the Carnegie Theatre, another outstanding, local, venue and business to form a partnership that we hope will further outline how much Cumbria has to offer and that will help visitors and locals alike.
We are delighted to offer a small donation to the Carnegie Theatre to help them continue to be the brilliant venue that they are and on top of this, we can’t wait to welcome more of you to our beautiful Cumbrian properties by offering a 5% discount to Friends of Carnegie Theatre and its staff and Volunteers too.
Our hope is that this will allow people to have a more relaxed experience of visiting the theatre, will make options easier for those visiting from further afield and will be a further incentive for new members to join this historic theatre.
We know this will be a long and prosperous relationship and once again, we are delighted to support the Carnegie Theatre.”
The Carnegie Manager, Karen Thompson, said
“I was delighted when Will contacted us to offer their support to the venue. The Carnegie is one of the jewels of West Cumbria and has much to offer to locals and visitors alike. This contribution from Good Life Lake District Cottages will help support our wonderful Music Centre for young musicians and will enable us to offer additional benefits to our Carnegie Friends and to reward our volunteers for the time and effort they contribute to our charity.’
