Volunteering at the Carnegie couldn’t be easier and there are lots of ways you can help. From becoming an usher to distributing posters, our volunteers play a much valued role in the running of the theatre.
Front of House Stewards
Our stewards are invaluable to us and our volunteers cover a range of duties, from taking tickets, selling ice creams and programmes to staffing the kiosk and helping people to their seats. Full training is given and new recruits are partnered with more experienced stewards. There is no upper age limit on becoming an usher, but you would need to think about the late finishing time and getting home safely after the show.
For more information about becoming an usher please email Margaret McIntyre, Volunteer Coordinator.
Many of our local shops and business display posters for us, perhaps you could help us by volunteering to distribute posters and flyers in your area. We would be especially interested to hear from people in the out lying towns and villages who would like to help distribute posters for us, as well as those of you based in Workington itself. It just takes a few minutes to do and generates lots of interest in the shows.
If you would like to give a little of your time we would love to hear from you. To find out more about these volunteer opportunities please just give us a call on 01900 602122.
