Cafe Carnegie is a bustling hub in the heart of Workington. Open daily, our dog-friendly cafe serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinners before select performances.

Cafe Carnegie is the perfect location for a freshly ground coffee made with Farrers Coffee of Kendal or indulge in the hugely popular Cumbrian Tea accompanied by one of our infamous Carnegie Full English Breakfasts, a lite bite, Sunday Lunch, or perhaps something from our cake cart. We also offer takeaway options if you have to dash off.

The world is always right again after a cuppa don’t you think? Whether it’s meeting friends, taking a break from the grind, making plans, catching up with colleagues whether face to face or virtually or unwinding before the start of a theatre show our cafe is the ideal place.

We’re one of the most accessible venues in Workington and offer baby changing facilities, free WiFi and if you’ve got a dog they will get looked after too!

We’re also more than just a cafe. We offer Afternoon Teas and, being situated within the Carnegie, can help you plan and deliver an event right here in the venue. Whether it’s a birthday party or family celebration, business meeting, conference, launch event or even a sit down evening dinner we’re able to offer a whole host of other services including outdoor catering.
