WHATS ON?

Lee Martin-White

I was appointed Chair of the Carnegie Theatre Trust in May 2015 and as a trustee specialise in sourcing external funding and special projects.

My initial involvement with the Carnegie started in 2011 as Secretary of the Carnegie Development Group, the founding group of the Carnegie Friends and the group which ignited work to transfer the Carnegie Theatre & Arts Centre to the charitable sector.

Rather ironically I had never stepped foot inside the Carnegie until two or three years prior when I was asked to be Business Manager for a local amateur musical society. During that time I attended a public meeting which was set up to save the Carnegie. Since that meeting I’ve become very well acquainted with the Carnegie, live and breath it and passionate about seeing it survive and thrive.

Professionally I have over 15 years’ experience in project and change management specialising in business transformation and am currently a Senior Leader at the Rural Payments Agency, an executive agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. If you are really interested you can read more about my day job here.
