Mark is Head of Technical Regulations at The Institution of Engineering and Technology, responsible for the development of BS 7671 – that’s the UK wiring regulations to you and me.

Having served an apprenticeship as an electrician with the UK Atomic Energy Authority at Sellafield, Cumbria, Mark studied Electrical & Electronic Engineering at London South Bank University, subsequently worked as Contracts and Project Manager in electrical contracting at Canary Wharf, London.

Mark is an international expert for protection against electric shock as convenor of international committee IEC TC 64 MT 9.

Over the years I watched Christmas pantomimes, attended kids discos, seen countless amazing bands and have played many gigs in umpteen rock bands”.
