Front of House Staff

We are looking for a positive and friendly person to work in our popular and welcoming cafe, serving our customers a quick bite to eat or a lovely cup of coffee.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work in a busy cafe giving great service worth shouting about!
  • Know your menu! Does the food or drink look right?
  • Upsell our delicious extras…there’s always room for a slice of cake!
  • Always help to make sure your cafe stays clean, safe & legal

Requirements:

  • Practical work experience in cafes, fast food outlets, restaurants, pubs, etc. is a must
  • An understanding of great service & a passion for delivering it
  • Warm & engaging personality
  • Great at multi-tasking
  • Enthusiastic for working in a busy cafe
  • Positive attitude
  • Cooking experience helpful, but not essential.

Starting salary: £9.50 per hour (reviewed annually)

Hours: Part-time (minimum 16 hours per week, includes regular Sundays). Working hours between 8:00am – 4.00pm with early evening work as and when required.

Term: 6-month probationary period

Casual Bar Assistant

To act as a public face of the Carnegie, maintaining an excellent standard of customer care whilst serving beverages to customers and assisting in the operation of the bar during events.
