Our classes run every Monday from 7:30pm during term time. You are welcome to show up one evening to find out what we’re all about, or get in touch to find out more.

Building on the success of the Carnegie Music Centre – created for ages 8 to 18 – we launched the Adult Music Centre in late 2022. The centre welcomes adults with a range of musical ability to try out different instruments and develop new creative skills. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a more advanced player, the Adult Music Centre is an opportunity to experience the enjoyment of making music with others.
Our two tutors have skills that cover most musical instruments and a lot of experience in facilitating groups of all abilities. They’ll provide you with the chance to play steel drums, samba, guitar and ukulele. There’ll also be opportunities play in different musical groups such as a wind ensemble, orchestra and hand chimes.
The musical groups will be based around the adults who attend and their own aspirations. Activities and instruments will also change occasionally so that participants get a chance to try new experiences and work with different tutors.
